Advanced Innovation Vouchers from Interface are now available17th January 2019

We have received a communication from Interface, which we think may be of interest to many in our SME network:

Advanced Innovation Vouchers are now live on Interface’s Website. These vouchers replace the ‘Follow-on Innovation Voucher’ as of January 2019 (with immediate effect). The change in name denotes that the Advanced Innovation Voucher does not need to be a follow-up to a Standard Innovation Voucher.

The scheme at a glance

The purpose of an Advanced Innovation Voucher award is to build sustained relationships between small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) and universities or Further Education (FE) colleges in Scotland who may have previously collaborated together, or for those companies who are beginning their collaborative journey with a HEI/FE college partner. The innovation voucher programme will draw on a number of funders, including Scottish Funding Council, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise.

The Advanced Innovation Voucher will work on a sliding scale basis with a minimum cash contribution required from the SME, based on the total value of the project (grant, cash and in kind). There is no maximum company cash match contribution – only a minimum level that must be confirmed before applying. Click on the green FAQ button on this web page to find out more.

There are set deadlines throughout the year for applications:

  • 18th January 2019
  • 8th March 2019
  • 26th April 2019
  • 7th June 2019
  • 19th July 2019

Interface advises that although the next Closing Date is 18th January, please do not feel strictly bound by this date: should you wish to apply for the Advanced Innovation Voucher outwith the prescribed dates, please contact [email protected] to discuss the matter.)

You will find the new documentation here.
