SAIC announces funding for lumpfish projects18th November 2015
The Scottish Aquaculture Centre has announced the launch of two new projects aimed at enhancing the sustainability and welfare of cleaner-fish in the Scottish salmon industry.
Run by a consortium of industry and academia, the projects will carry out extensive applied research to improve the sustainable supply of healthy lumpsuckers for use as cleaner-fish on salmon farms.
The two projects were announced at SAIC’s first annual conference, at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh, where the Deputy First Minister of Scotland, John Swinney, was keynote speaker.
